Laghuswapna serves as a key platform for discussing the challenges and opportunities faced by MSMEs in the region. The event fosters collaboration between industry, academia, and students, promoting growth and innovation. Each year, Laghuswapna adopts a unique theme addressing industry trends, and the 2025 edition focused on ‘Emerging Trends in Supply-Chain Management.’
Laghuswapna 2025 was graced by distinguished guests, including former nuclear scientist and STEAM Academy President Dr. A. P. Jayaraman as Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour was Ms. Deepa Raut, an MSME expert and founder of Careerraiser.in and Technominds.in. Their presence added significant value to the discussions.
The event featured engaging discussions on challenges and solutions in the supply-chain sector. Deepa Raut emphasized the importance of supply-chain management for the rapidly expanding MSME sector. She highlighted the government’s RAMP Scheme, which received a ₹200 crore fund from the World Bank to strengthen MSMEs.
Dr. Jayaraman provided insights from his experience at Tarapore during the construction of India’s first atomic power station. He stressed the need for a ‘green supply chain’ to reduce carbon footprints. According to him, Artificial Intelligence and Green Supply-Chain Management are the two major emerging trends in the industry.
Panellist Shailesh Kulkarni discussed collaborative supply-chain models, which have gained traction in the past five to six years. He shared examples of industrialists working together to enhance customer solutions, citing GoApptive’s efforts to distribute big pharma products in rural areas.
Throughout the hour-long panel discussion, experts covered various critical topics, providing attendees with deep insights into the future of supply-chain management. The event successfully fostered dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and networking among key stakeholders, reinforcing its role as a catalyst for MSME growth.
