The 9th edition of the Srijan event, held on February 1, 2024, aimed to provide a platform for young talent in Palghar District and nearby regions to showcase their skills and knowledge. 61 teams from various colleges (Internal & External) participated in the competition, focusing on the themes of “Artificial Intelligence in Education: A Boon or Bane?” and the “AI Revolution in Patient Care”. The event was inaugurated by various Patrons, including the Chairman (Albert W. D’Souza), Secretary (Elvina D’Souza) and Treasurer (Elaine D’Souza) of Aldel Education Trust, as well as the Deputy Director (Dr. Savita Tauro), Principal (Dr. Gopal V. Mulgund) of St. John College of Engineering and Mgmt., HOD MBA Dept. (Dr. S. Kumaraperumal) & Partner of M/s. Cemix Pvt. Ltd. (Dr. Reuben Buthello). The competition aimed to enhance students’ knowledge, competitive spirit, creative, organizing, technical, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills.
The 3 different inter-collegiate competitions had 3 different set of Judges to evaluate the competition:
- Internal Competition Judges: (Artificial Intelligence in Education: A Boon or Bane?)

- External Competition Judges: (Artificial Intelligence in Education: A Boon or Bane?)
- Mt. Vivian Lobo, (HOD-AI and ML), St. John College of Engg. & Mgmt., Palghar & Mrs. Trupti Bidaye, Asst. Professor, St. John College of Humanities & Sciences, Palghar.
- Combined Competition 🙁 AI Revolution in Patient Care in the Indian context)
- Dr. Shilpa Gharat, Sr. Faculty, SDSM College, Palghar & Prof. Priyanka Rana, Asst. Professor, P. L. Shroff College of Commerce & Arts, Chinchani.
A total of 161 students Participated in the event.
