The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI&ML) is one of the emerging and
dynamic departments of the Institute, offering a future-focused engineering program designed to prepare
students for the rapidly evolving fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and related
technologies. The program provides students with a strong foundation in engineering and computing
principles while progressively developing their expertise in advanced and emerging technologies. During
the first year, students build fundamental knowledge through courses such as Engineering Mathematics,
Physics, Chemistry, Engineering Graphics, and Programming for Problem Solving using C ,C++, JAVA.
In the second year, they strengthen their core computing and programming skills through subjects
including Data Structures, Database Management Systems, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Operating
Systems, and Python Programming. During the third and fourth years, students gain specialized
knowledge in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing,
Computer Vision, Soft Computing, Cloud Computing, Data Science, Social Network Analysis, and
NoSQL Databases, along with advanced computing courses. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on
learning through well-equipped laboratories, projects, internships, industry-oriented activities, and
practical applications. The department follows the principles of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and
focuses on developing technical competency, analytical and problem-solving skills, innovation, research
aptitude, and professional capabilities among students. With state-of-the-art laboratories, modern
computing facilities, and a conducive learning environment, the department encourages students to
explore, experiment, innovate, and develop intelligent solutions to real-world challenges. The Department
of AI&ML is committed to nurturing competent, creative, and industry-ready professionals and preparing
students for successful careers, higher education, research, and entrepreneurship in the rapidly growing
domains of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
