  • SJCEM has received the Autonomous Status by University Grants Commission (UGC) from A.Y. 2024-25 onwards for a period of 10 years, i.e., till the A.Y. 2033-34.
  • National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited SJCEM with a CGPA of 3.27 out of 4, i.e., with an “A+” Grade for a period of 5 years with effect from 18th of October 2019.
  • SJCEM became the Youngest Engineering college under the University of Mumbai to receive “Autonomous Status” from the UGC and the 1st Engineering College in Palghar District.
  • SJCEM has consistently won 1st Prize in “Smart India Hackathon” in the Years 2017 / 2020 & 2022.
  • The ExTc department of SJCEM won the 1st Prize in the Robotex India Regional Challenge held at College of Engineering, Pune.
  • Mr. Shubham Bafna of MMS department of SJCEM was awarded the “Best Start-Up Entrepreneur” by the Government of Maharashtra.
  • SJCEM (MMS) won the Gold Award at the Association of India Management Schools under the category of AIMS – WeSchool Innovation Award – Institution. They also won Silver Award at the Association of India Management Schools under the category of AIMS – WeSchool Innovation Award.
  • 1st Prize in Formula Kart Design Challenge Season 2 in the year 2017.
  • 13 Awards for Colleges at the Youth Festival of University of Mumbai 2022 & 2023 – SJIPR / SJCEM / SJCHS.
  • SJCEM has been selected as Top 6 Institutes in Indian People’s Theater Association 2023.
  • Excellent Campus Placement in top flight companies: TCS Ltd., Amdocs Ltd., L & T, Ugam, TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, LTI, JSW, Amazon, deloite, Bitwise, Neosoft, Accenture, IBM, Mahindra, Xorient, JP Morgan, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank and others.
  • Over 50% of successful students follow up with higher studies abroad and in India. Looking at the trend of students pursuing higher education after undergraduate studies, the college came up with a counselling centre in 2008. The centre is managed by faculty members, who offer guidance to the students opting for higher education in India and abroad.
  • Active students’ chapters of SAE, IIRS, MESA, ISTE, ASSET, ISHARE, ACI, BIS, SPCA, ITSA, WDC, in addition to 4 professional clubs and the NSS unit AND Green Club of the University of Mumbai.
  • Faculty members continue to organize conferences, faculty training and other development programmes for the benefit of both students as well as faculty members of the college and other institutions.
  • College provides ‘Soft Skill Training’ for the benefit of students, laying a strong foundation for the all-round development of them. The main aim of the training is to make our students corporate ready and to cultivate the art of Self-Management & People Skills in themselves.
  • Students regularly participate in International & National competitions, Debates, Social initiatives and Research activities in and outside the college throughout the year. Individual students and teams bag top positions in various competitions at National & International levels, often bringing glory to the institution on a regular basis.
